Homegrown herbs: An on-campus farmer’s market

The Environmental Awareness Club hosted Mini Farmer’s Market Monday in front of the Interdisciplinary Engineering & Academic Building on the Edinburg campus.

The Environmental Awareness Club sells locally grown veggies, such as green beans and peppers during the Mini Farmer’s Market Monday in front of the Interdisciplinary Engineering & Academic Building on the Edinburg campus.

Sofia Martinez, a club member and an environmental science senior, helps run the stand along with her other club members. The Environmental Awareness Club is a student-led organization focused on raising environmental advocacy in the Rio Grande Valley, working not only within the university but with other local organizations, according to its website.
