Reporter – Brownsville
Reports to the newspaper adviser and editor-in-chief; writes news and feature articles. Includes at least three sources in all articles. Ensures accuracy, objectivity, balance and fairness in all articles; follows Associated Press style. Completes assignments by deadline. Attends weekly staff meetings; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Excellent writing skills; ability to write multi source articles.
NOTE: All Student Media employees must be enrolled full-time at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley during the their semester of employment and at least 1 hour during the summer sessions.
