Hispanic Heritage Read In The Student Union and Inqspot will present a read in and open-mic night at 6 p.m. in the Student Union Food Court on the Edinburg campus. Wellness Mondays

The UTRGV Counseling Center will host one-hour workshops on topics related to enhancing personal wellness, such as healthy relationships, stress management and beating the blues. DIY Madness

The UTRGV Counseling Center will host a stress management workshop from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union’s Oleander Room on the Edinburg campus. ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Tournament

The UTRGV Counseling Center will host a workshop on improving well-being and lifting a low mood at 2 p.m. in the Student Union’s Salón Jacaranda on the Brownsville campus. Hold’em Poker Tournament

Invitational Choir Festival

BelieVe in a Cure

The UTRGV Volleyball Team will face California State University, Bakersfield at 7 p.m. in the Fieldhouse on the Edinburg campus. There will also be a watch party at Adolios in Brownsville. The first 200 attendees will receive pink “BelieVe in a Cure” rally towels to raise breast cancer awareness. For more information, call 665-2221.

UTRGV Madness

UTRGV Madness, a night of music, contests and prizes, will take place from 9 to 11 p.m. in the Fieldhouse on the Edinburg campus. The event will also include the premiere of the UTRGV men’s and women’s basketball teams and a student organization dance-off. Students are encouraged to upload their photos to Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #UTRGVMadness to see themselves on the video board. Admission is free. For more information, call 665-5301.

‘Fortnite’ Fridays

Students can play “Fortnite” for free and enjoy snacks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the game room on the Edinburg campus. For more information, call 665-7890.

Upcoming events

Zombie Walk Food Drive

The fourth annual Zombie Walk, to benefit the UTRGV Food Pantry, will take place from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Oct. 23 in the ELABS 107 Studio Theater on the Edinburg campus. Participants who donate five cans of food will receive a zombie makeover; those who donate seven cans will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win various items.
