
The following are among the incidents reported to University Police between April 21 and 27.
April 21
8:59 a.m.: An officer responded to a minor two-vehicle traffic collision in Lot E-9 on the Edinburg campus. No injuries were reported.
10:40 a.m.: An officer responded regarding a kitten found underneath a boom lift in Casa Bella on the Brownsville campus. The kitten was retrieved and turned over to animal control.
1:43 p.m.: A student reported she was informed by a witness who observed an unknown vehicle hit her parked and unattended vehicle in Lot E-19 on the Edinburg campus. The case is under investigation.
April 22
10:14 p.m.: An officer responded to a reckless vehicle reported in Lot E-16 on the Edinburg campus. The officer checked the parking lot thoroughly but was unable to locate the suspicious vehicle.
April 23
7:17 a.m.: A non-affiliated woman advised an officer her vehicle had possibly been stolen from her on an off-campus apartment complex. The Edinburg Police Department was contacted and stated the female’s vehicle had been towed while parked at the apartment complex.
8:51 p.m.: A student reported an unknown person(s) had “keyed” her vehicle while parked and unattended in Lot E-16 on the Edinburg campus. The case is under investigation.
April 24
8 a.m.: An officer was dispatched regarding an active burglary alarm in the Student Services Building on the Edinburg campus. The officer checked the area and no signs of forced entry were found.
1:58 p.m.: An employee reported theft of several household goods from multiple restrooms in the Music, Science and Learning Center on the Brownsville campus.
April 25
8:27 a.m.: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in Lot E-42 on the Edinburg campus. Upon arrival, they searched the area, but the vehicle had already left.
April 27
11:57 a.m.: Officers were dispatched for a non-affiliated woman who fainted in the Baseball Stadium on the Edinburg campus. The woman refused to be transported to the hospital and signed a refusal-for-medical-treatment form.
9:09 p.m.: A student reported losing her wallet near the Quad on the Edinburg campus.
