UTRGV kicks off the fall semester with The Stomp, the biggest celebration of Welcome Week. Hundreds of students attend and participate in a night that features live music, games, food, and various types of businesses on both campuses. The event took place on the Brownsville campus on Sept. 1 and on the Edinburg campus on Thursday.
Jose Eugenio Lopez, a manufacturing engineering junior, said in Spanish, students have the opportunity to socialize with their friends in a setting outside of school and can break away from the monotony.
