UTRGV Accreditation Probation

“Yo opino que es en parte una irresponsabilidad por parte de la escuela no haberse dado cuenta de las cosas que estaba haciendo mal o de las cosas que no estaba en sí aclarando, por todo el proceso que se llevó muy poco tiempo en hacer realmente. Esta escuela no le tomó mucho tiempo inaugurarse y yo creo que debido a eso la consecuencia fue el “probation” y yo creo que por parte de la escuela debería asegurarnos que todo está bien y corregir esos problemas que tiene por ahí”.

“I think that the university has been going through a lot of changes, that’s mainly the main issue, but I believe that it is going to be better for the university. Even though it is not certain what will happen, I believe that it will be for the better of the university’s future.”

“Really, we have nothing to worry about. I know there was some complications during the beginning of the semester. I know it did come out in The Monitor and it did come out in the news but as far as the topic, I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about. If you’re taking classes now, you’ll still get accreditation so, honestly, it’s just a little bump in the road and we have nothing to worry about and they’re taking care of it right now.”

“I just don’t think that anything bad is going to happen. We’re not going to lose our accreditation. No students are going to need to transfer. It’s a UT school, so I have faith that we’re going to get out of this mess.”

“Creo que está bien. No me gusta que estemos en probation pero como dicen que están trabajando en ello, está bien”.
