History sophomore
โItโs a lot of paperwork, but I mean everything is for a reason. It does kind of suck that it is such a long process, but I mean, you know, as they say, the early bird gets the worm. So, the faster you get it done, the faster it processes, the faster, you know, you get the money that you need. In my experiences here, Iโve been good. I mean, they were very well-informed, the people here at the Financial Aid office. They really helped me out with all the paperwork and if I ever had a question, I could always call and be like, โI donโt know what to do with this.โโ

Biomedical sciences sophomore
โWell, this semester I had to pay out of pocket because my FAFSA account didnโt get the documents through. I got picked, unfortunately, to further review my status and for that reason, my financial aid couldnโt come through. So, Iโm still in the process: They made me wait, like, a couple of weeks each step, asking for additional documents, and yeah, it was very frustrating.โ

Biology freshman
โMy experience with FAFSA was actually really great. I originally planned on attending UTSA; however, due to the fact that FAFSA was not going to be able to cover everything over there, I stayed here because they covered everything here. So, you know, although I wanted to leave, Iโm still very satisfied with how things turned out.โ

Interdisciplinary studies junior
โIโm a student at UTRGV and thanks to financial aid, I have been getting my education paid for. I transferred from [South Texas College]. I got my associateโs there as an elementary education [major]. I appreciate the help Iโve been getting from them. I think itโs a great experience because without their help, I wouldnโt be able to come to college.โ
