“Como es mi primer año de estar aquí, en la universidad, yo creo que debe de haber más policías o patrullas aquí, especialmente durante la noche, como yo me quedo hasta las siete. No está muy oscuro ahora, pero antes sí estaba. Tengo un amigo, se queda hasta las 10 de la noche y a veces tiene que caminar hasta el Rec Center donde está su carro y dice que se siente incómodo”.

“Personalmente, creo que, para mejorar la seguridad en el campus, deberíamos de tener más vigilancia. Que haya policías más seguido. Que se les de un curso a los estudiantes sobre que hacer en casos de emergencias o si se sienten atacados de cierta manera. Creo que la escuela necesita un poco más de vigilancia. Creo que se pueden hacer las cosas mejor y que entre el alumnado pues también se ayuden mutuamente para que el campus sea un lugar más cómodo para todos”.

“I think one thing that we could do to increase campus safety would be to have more police officers on the campus, so that we as students, even for females, could feel a little safer and just have them there whenever we need in the moment. I think one of the things that I could say to students would be, if you ever need any help, we always have the phone numbers of the security guards. They have the police rides, which I haven’t taken yet, but just to look out for those things and be aware of what we already have for us.”

“I feel like the best way that we can do to improve security in the university is to have more patrols going around. As of right now, I feel like there aren’t enough people patrolling right now. I feel like I’ve only seen, like, three officers at most throughout the six months I think that I’ve been here.”
