Who is your favorite athlete? โI think Kobe [Bryant] because heโs a basketball player and heโs fearless. He doesnโt really care what others think about him and he does what he needs to do. I feel like thatโs someone I really look up to.โ
Who is your role model? โProbably my dad because heโs hardworking. He supports our family and heโs always there for me. He does whatever it takes for me and my family, so heโs someone I really look up to.โ
What was the best advice youโve been given and by whom? โProbably from my dad, to never give up and always try to be the best at whatever it is Iโm doing. Heโs always telling me he doesnโt care what I do with my life as long as I try to be the best that I can at whatever it is.โ
When did you begin playing basketball, and why? โI started playing basketball when I was 5 years old. I played in church leagues and youth basketball groups. I played mostly because my uncle played college basketball, so he taught me a lot of what I know. Knowing that he played in college made it something I wanted to do, too.โ
Whatโs your favorite place to hang out on campus? โProbably here in the gym, practicing with the guys. This is a special team and I really like being here.โ
What are your academic goals? โMy academic goals are to get a 3.0 or higher on my GPA.โ
How do you feel about being part of this team? โThis is a special team. These guys are hardworking and fun to be around. The coaches are also great. They care about us as people and not just basketball players. In practice, itโs fun. Everyone pushes each other and itโs just a great place to be.
What are your personal goals for this season? โMy personal goals are probably just to do whatever the coaches need me to help out, whether it be on the bench hyping people up or getting in a few minutes to help and do what I can.โ
