Art Exhibit
The School of Art and Design Faculty will host an Masterโs of Fine Arts graduate art exhibition by Jackie Moran titled โCultures in Motionโ Oct. 19 through 25 in the Visual Arts Building Gallery located at 2412 S. Closner in Edinburg. Admission is Free.
Fall Festival
Southern Careers Institute will host Spooktacular Fall Fest 2023 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 935 N. Expressway in Brownsville. The event will feature trunk or treating, a petting zoo, pony rides, activities and games, raffles and more.
Halloween Park
The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department will host โPark After Darkโ from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in Dean Porter Park located at 501 E. Ringgold St. The event will feature trunk-or-treat activities, a movie in the patch, vendors, games, candy, costume contests and more. Admission is free.
Piano Recital
The UTRGV Piano Area will perform a concert from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center in Brownsville. The concert will feature works written in the 20th and 21st centuries. Admission is Free.
Tuba Concert
The UTRGV Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble will perform in Octubafest from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. The event will feature large and small ensembles and original compositions and arrangements by UTRGV students. Admissions is free.
