UTRGV observes Dia de los Muertos

A new U.S. flag is shown last Friday on the Brownsville campus. University Police put up the new flag Thursday afternoon.

A wooden board spray-painted with the words “REPLACE THE FLAG” stands in front of the UTRGV flagpole last Thursday on the Brownsville campus. UTRGV freshman and U.S. Army veteran Russ Blaha put up the signs to bring attention to the torn and worn-out flags on campus. Blaha had been requesting for a month that they be replaced. After he posted the signs, University Police quickly replaced the U.S. flag.
